💭 What are you passionate about in medicine or recreationally? In medicine, I enjoy teaching and mentoring trainees—medical students, residents, and fellows—particularly through collaborative research projects. Recreationally, I enjoy cooking, which I find relaxing, staying active at the gym, and I am a big movie fan with a particular interest in true crime.
🏆 A short story or academic achievement you are proud of: I am most proud of the work we have done to open clinical trials at UAMS. Expanding patient access to innovative therapies—especially for rare diseases such as T-cell lymphomas—allows patients to receive cutting-edge care without leaving the state, minimizing disruption to their lives and helping preserve quality of life.
🌟 Secret to career success: Persistence, along with the ability to learn from one’s own shortcomings and from the experiences of colleagues.
