Dr. Anne W. Beaven, specializes in the treatment of patients with all types of Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Cutaneous lymphomas, such as mycosis fungoides and Sezary syndrome, are of special interest to her. She is the co-lead/developer of the UNC Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Lymphoma Clinic, which she runs with dermatologist, Edith Bowers, MD. In addition to caring for patients in the clinic, she leads numerous clinical trials for patients with lymphoma. She is extensively involved in the development of the UNC Lineberger CAR-T therapy program. CAR-T is an exciting approach that uses a patient’s own immune system to help fight their lymphoma. Dr. Beaven’s research focus involves developing these trials for T cell lymphomas.
