Dr. Taparia is a staff hematologist at the University of Alberta Hospital and the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) in Edmonton. At CCI, she works in the Bone Marrow Transplantation clinic and a specialized clinic focused on rare diseases, including cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL), histiocytic disorders (LCH, RDD, ECD, HLH), and mastocytosis. She also leads a joint clinic with Dermatology for patients with CTCL, supporting coordinated, multidisciplinary care and optimized treatment strategies for these complex conditions. She recently authored Diseases of Blood and Skin: A Dermatological Correlation of Hematologic Disorders, a handbook examining conditions at the intersection of dermatology and hematology, including malignant infiltrations and graft versus host disease.

In addition, Dr. Taparia has a strong interest in myeloproliferative diseases and is a member of the Alberta Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. She has led or contributed to the development of treatment guidelines and clinical protocols for several blood disorders, including CTCL.
