Dr. Mohannad Abu-Hilal serves as an Associate Professor and the Head of the Dermatology Division at McMaster University. Dr. Abu-Hilal has keen interest in under- and postgraduate medical education. He is the program director of the Advanced Clinical Dermatology fellowship program. He received various teaching awards including the Department of Medicine teaching excellence in 2022 and 2023.

In addition to CTCL, his clinical and research interests include atopic dermatitis, prurigo nodularis, immunobullous diseases, and skin manifestations of systemic diseases.

💭 What are you passionate about in medicine or recreationally? Clinically, I am passionate about treating complex inflammatory skin diseases. Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing basketball, and I’m an avid follower of European soccer and martial arts.
🏆 A short story or academic achievement you are proud of: I am proud to have established the Advanced Clinical Dermatology Fellowship at McMaster University, through which we have trained dozens of brilliant dermatologists from across the globe—many of whom have become leaders in their own communities.
