Dr. Robert Gniadecki received his MD degree from the Warsaw Medical School (Poland) in 1991 and his PhD from the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen (Denmark) in 1994. He became a specialist in dermatology in 2001, certified in both Denmark and Canada. In 2010, he was appointed Full Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Copenhagen, and in 2015 he assumed the same position at the University of Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Gniadecki has served as President of the Danish Dermatological Society, Treasurer of the Canadian Dermatology Foundation, and Board Member of the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR) and the International Society for Cutaneous Lymphomas (ISCL). He is a member of several editorial boards, including the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Dermatology, and Frontiers in Medicine.

He has published >350 peer-reviewed papers. Among his contributions are the development of the low-dose total skin irradiation protocol for cutaneous lymphomas, and the discovery of lymphoma stem cells. His current research focuses on genomics and experimental therapeutics of cutaneous lymphomas and autoimmune skin diseases.
