Dr. Skamene is a Radiation Oncologist and Assistant Professor at the Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She studied medicine and completed her Radiation Oncology residency at McGill University in 2016. She subsequently undertook a clinical fellowship in Supportive and Palliative Radiation Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston, MA, and received her Master’s degree in Healthcare Quality from Queen’s University in Kingston, ON, shortly after beginning her clinical practice in 2017.

In addition to her clinical work in hematological malignancies, palliation, and pediatrics, Dr. Skamene serves as Associate Director for the Division of Radiation Oncology at the McGill University Health Centre and Chair of the Radiation Oncology Quality Improvement Committee. She serves on several hospital quality improvement committees and leads the Quality and Patient Safety curriculum for oncology trainees at McGill University.
